Brandon Jamil Riley Sr is Senior Director of Program Operations for Operation Hope. Prior to joining the HOPE team in December 2021, Brandon served as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Stonecrest for three years. During his tenure with the City of Stonecrest Brandon was instrumental in making several significant accomplishments with the City of Stonecrest. He was responsible for overseeing: the acquisitions of 11 parks and future properties totaling over 420 acres and the $1 million Panola Shoals Bank restoration and kayak project. He prepared and was granted approval to oversee the 5-year capital parks plan which included master plans, playgrounds, land acquisitions and other recreational activities. A native of Lithonia Georgia, Brandon has been developing and implementing programs since his college days at Alcorn State University. He began his professional career as an Athletic Academic Advisor at Georgia State University for numerous programs in which he also received his Master’s in Sports Management. Shortly afterwards, Brandon eventually became the Associate Director of College & Career Development. It was in this position he served as a valuable resource for a teenager’s college & career development process. In addition, he assisted and provided millions of dollars’ worth of scholarship opportunities for youth throughout the Boys & Girls Club College Bound program. For four years, Brandon served as the Executive Director of the East DeKalb Boys & Girls Club, where he increased average daily attendance by 64 percent in three years. Brandon is a graduate of Leadership DeKalb Class of 2019 and has been married for ten years and is the proud father of their 8 year old son B.J and 3 month old son Jackson.
