Vickey Brown is an accomplished financial services management professional and consultant with diversified expertise including “Big 5” firm financial management consulting experience. She is a resident of Atlanta, GA and a financial professional with extensive knowledge in Retail Banking, Global Sales Operations, Relationship Management and Personal Finance. Vickey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Claflin University(HBCU), Orangeburg, SC and an MBA from Charleston University, Charleston, SC.
Her professional work experience includes employment with Wachovia Bank of South Carolina, SunTrust Bank, (Atlanta, GA), PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP, (Fairfax, VA) Washington Mutual Bank (Atlanta, GA) GE Capital, (Atlanta, GA) and Synchrony Financial (Atlanta, GA). Additionally, she attended the prestigious General Electric Crotonville Leadership Academy in New York.
Vickey currently serves as a Board member for the School of Business at her Alma Mater, Claflin University (HBCU) in Orangeburg, SC. In 2015, she received the Dr. Henry N. Tisdale Excellence Award for her support of the Business College. Moreover, Vickey is an active Silver Star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and her community. She has taught finance and budgeting courses at the American Institute of Banking, Every Woman Works, church workshops and served as the Secretary for Ministry of Stewardship & Finance for six years at her church. Vickey joined Operation HOPE as the Deputy Director of HOPE Program Operations in July 2020. She managed seven Regional Vice Presidents. She was promoted to Senior Director of Operations in October 2021 and manages partnerships and Directors HOPE Inside the Work Place, HOPE Coalition America, HOPE’s Disaster Call Center, Youth Programming, Government Grants and Community Outreach.
