Tim Crockett is a seasoned security and risk management executive with nearly 30 years of experience advising global organizations across the corporate, media, humanitarian, and government sectors. Building on a distinguished military career, he has led the design and implementation of intelligence-led risk management programs, crisis response strategies, and executive protection initiatives for multinational companies operating in high-threat and complex environments worldwide.
Crockett’s expertise spans threat and vulnerability assessments, corporate security governance, travel risk management, and crisis readiness. His leadership has been instrumental in helping organizations safeguard their people, assets, and reputations while enabling them to operate with confidence across international markets.
Early in his career, Crockett served as a senior security advisor for a major North American news company, during the second Gulf War, training journalists and news teams for hostile environments and coordinating field safety operations across conflict zones. He also collaborated with the U.S. Department of Defense to refine media-embed training programs, ensuring journalists were better prepared to cover the risks of modern warfare. Today, he continues to advise media organizations and field teams on security in high-risk settings.
In the corporate sector, Crockett has held senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Business Operations at a Global Travel Assistance company, where he drove client growth and strategic development, and Senior Director of Global Security Operations for a leading international news network, where he led global security initiatives for more than a decade. He has also advised and held leadership positions with risk management consultancies in both the U.S. and U.K., supporting organizations across industries ranging from energy to finance.
A recognized thought leader, Crockett has presented at global forums including the World Economic Forum in Davos and served as Chair of the Media & Entertainment Working Group for the U.S. Department of State’s Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC). His contributions to media safety and risk management have been honored by the Royal Television Society, the Overseas Press Club of America, and through prestigious industry awards including a Golden Eagle Award and multiple Peabody Awards for his work on CNN’s Terror on Tape and 72 Hours Under Fire.
He provides strategic oversight in risk management, people, and process development—enabling the organization to expand its impact and deliver on its mission to empower underserved communities.
