As the world comes together to celebrate the excitement, passion, and unity of the FIFA World Cup, I cannot help but reflect on the power of teamwork and the incredible impact that can be achieved when people rally around a common goal.

On the field, players from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences work together toward one objective: success. Off the field, Operation HOPE’s Hispanic Initiatives embodies that same spirit through a dedicated network of bilingual and multilingual coaches committed to helping individuals and families achieve financial wellbeing.

Our coaches represent diverse countries, cultures, and experiences. They speak the language of our clients, not only linguistically, but culturally. They understand the unique challenges many Hispanic and Latino families face and help bridge the gap between financial education and financial action.

Just as every player on a soccer team has a role, each of our bilingual coaches contributes their talents to create opportunities for the communities they serve. Whether helping a client improve their credit, purchase their first home, start a business, or create a plan for financial stability, they are helping people score victories that extend far beyond the playing field.

In the past few months, the Hispanic Initiatives team…

• Represented Operation HOPE at Mexican Consulates in Miami, San Francisco, and Atlanta during Semana Nacional de Educación Financiera (SNEF) 2026 (National Financial Education Week).
• Participated in a community event serving a low-income area with a large Hispanic population in Lafayette, providing financial education resources and serving as volunteers and interpreters—helping ensure every individual felt seen, heard, and supported.
• Led an all-Spanish-language event to a room full of small business entrepreneurs in Miami in partnership with Santander, Venprendedoras, and the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce.

Today, as millions of fans cheer for their favorite teams, I celebrate another team: our bilingual coaches. They show up every day with passion, dedication, and heart, helping individuals and families move from financial uncertainty toward financial freedom.

Because true victories are not measured only by goals scored, but by lives transformed. Together, we are scoring financial wins, one community at a time.
