Many individuals and families in low-to moderate-income households across the nation are wary of the home buying process, and feel that homeownership, a fundamental piece of the American Dream, is out of reach for them.
Our Homeownership Program, a core focus of HOPE Inside Adult Empowerment programming, is designed to empower individuals and families for whom homeownership would be di cult, if not impossible.
Operation HOPE is committed to helping people in underserved neighborhoods become homeowners and community stakeholders. Our financial wellbeing coaches support clients on the journey to homeownership, helping them get the funding they need to own a home without resorting to sub-prime loans.
The process starts with a homebuyers workshop that provides an overview of the process. From there, our HUD-certified coaches walk clients through the loan packaging process and provide them with the tools and resources to fund a home purchase. Our HUD-approved housing counseling program helps clients overcome
a variety of common barriers to homeownership, including bad credit, lack of down payment, existing debt, and money management issues. Homeownership uplifts communities and creates engaged stakeholders— the net worth of the typical homeowner ranges between 31 and 46 times that of the net worth of the typical renter.
Operation HOPE is a for-purpose organization working to disrupt poverty and empower inclusion for low and moderate-income youth and adults.
