ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Operation HOPE, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping low-and moderate-income Americans thrive in an ever-changing economy, announced today that its Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Hope Bryant has been appointed as National Vice Chair of No Labels, a national movement of common sense Americans pushing leaders together to solve the country’s biggest problems. Mr. Bryant will join current Co-Chairs Senator Joe Lieberman, Governor Larry Hogan, and Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis, Jr. to lead the nonprofit organization that helped forge the bipartisan House Problem Solvers Caucus and an allied Senate group, which was instrumental in the passage of some of the most consequential legislation of recent years, including the historic 2021 infrastructure act.
“Through his leadership and philanthropy, he has committed his life’s work to lifting up others. And, with Americans today worn out with all the divisions in our politics, I know his contributions to No Labels will be immense.”Tweet this
“I am honored to be joining No Labels as National Vice Chair,” said Mr. Bryant. “At Operation HOPE and through our Financial Literacy for All movement, I am dedicated to seeing that every American has access to financial literacy to improve their lives and lift up their communities – for the benefit of our entire country. No Labels’ bipartisan mission perfectly aligns with the values of Operation HOPE. I’m looking forward to working with the team and leadership of No Labels to bring together diverse voices and make progress on issues that will affect real change.”
“John Hope Bryant is a leader, an inspiration, and a friend, and he has a keen understanding of how we can build bridges together to shape a better future,” said Senator Lieberman, Founding Chairman of No Labels. “With John on the team, we will continue our mission to fight for a future in which our democracy is stronger than ever before. Now is the time to come together and put our country above partisanship.”
“I am pleased to have my friend, John, joining us as Vice Chair,” said Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis, Co-Chair of No Labels. “Through his leadership and philanthropy, he has committed his life’s work to lifting up others. And, with Americans today worn out with all the divisions in our politics, I know his contributions to No Labels will be immense.”
About Operation HOPE, Inc.
Since 1992, Operation HOPE has been moving America from civil rights to “silver rights” with the mission of making free enterprise and capitalism work for the underserved—disrupting poverty for millions of low and moderate-income youth and adults across the nation. Through its community uplift model, HOPE Inside, which received the 2016 Innovator of the Year recognition by American Banker magazine, Operation HOPE has served more than 4 million individuals and directed more than $3.2 billion in economic activity into disenfranchised communities—turning check-cashing customers into banking customers, renters into homeowners, small business dreamers into small business owners, minimum wage workers into living wage consumers, and uncertain disaster victims into financially empowered disaster survivors.
